Angular 2 built-in version too much outdated in Ionic 2 final release

Hi folks,

Angular 2 built-in version into Ionic 2 is the 2.2.1 released in 2016-11-17.
Tons of bug fixes were applied ever since to the Angular 2 and I wonder if these bugs aren’t in Ionic 2 framework yet.

Why Ionic 2 final release has a so outdated Angular 2 built-in version ?
When will this be fixed?

It’s actually not that out dated.
And we released with that version because everything was working. We didn’t want to introduce any new bugs because of an angular update.
We’ll be upgrading the angular version in future releases.
