Android: Google Play App Signing and Ionic?

Google Play App Signing and Ionic + Crosswalk ionic-v3

I was wondering if any of you have opted in for the “Google Play App Singing” service and if you had any issues with the apk generated with ionic, especially when crosswalk is used thus having two output apk files. I found a similar ticket a year ago, but no definite answer to this question.
