I have a timekeeping app that is used in facilities. Currently they use a a scroll and search to find themselves in the list and then a 4 digit pin to confirm it is them. What I would like to do is replace the scroll and search with a fingerprint to make it faster for a group of 20 people to clock in and out of my timekeeper.
To give some more context, it is being used in a packing facility so they are using my app on a tablet that’s mounted on a wall. When they clock in, take a break, take a meal, clock out, they go to the kiosk to do their time. It is a group of 20 right now but it will go up to 80 soon so I would like to make it as fast as I can from the user’s perspective.
I am considering using an external fingerprint scanner or the native function. It would be easier to use the native function but I don’t know if it is possible. Please let me know if anyone has tried this before or has any advice.
