I’m also suddenly getting this problem. The app has been on the same version on the Play Store for weeks with no problems and now suddenly I’m getting users reporting the white screen of death after the splash screen.
Edit: Just heard from a user who I sent a test apk to containing this fix worked: Android splashscreen fade animation on hide not working
