Hello, all. I’m pretty new to Ionic, and one of my first major projects is sending an receiving data to/from a server located in my house. http.get works completely fine, however, the http post yields an error. Here’s the relevant code: ionViewDidLoad() { console.log('ionViewDidLoad SensorDa…

Alrighty, finished. No, I don’t. I started the app by running ionic server --serverlogs and didn’t get anything.

[image] balrawi: this.http.post(‘/sidemenu/www/ajax/updateItem.php/’, JSON.parse(JSON.stringify(body)), {headers: headers}).map(res => res.json()).subscribe(data1 => { This shouldn’t work. ionic serve doesn’t render PHP code. If you want to do this, you have to run the PHP code in a different…

I don’t see any PHP code here, just an HTTP request to a php server right?

I think the specified error is because you are trying to stringify a JSON string that is already a string. Try assigning the body as a json object maybe? let body = {"ID":"3","ITEM":"blah","STATUS":"0","CREATED_AT":"2016-07-21"};

Just pass ordinary objects as the body of Http requests. No need for all this manual JSONification of anything.

[image] balrawi: It is calling another directory,on another server, the URL being http://192.168.1.22:1234/shop_tut/ajax/updateItem.php ? Then you should http.post() to that URL, not a local one.

Here is the php code it is calling <?php require_once '../includes/db.php'; // The mysql database connection script if(isset($_GET['itemID'])){ $status = $mysqli->real_escape_string($_GET['status']); $itemID = $mysqli->real_escape_string($_GET['itemID']); $query="UPDATE shop set status='$statu…

I think the error is in your PHP code I think it should be if(isset($_POST['itemId'])).
