SSLHandshakeException when I make a request to my server

I am working with Ionic 6 and Capacitor.

In my project, I have used the capacitor-community http plugin to fetch data from my server.

The problem I am facing is that every time I build and run the app on the emulator I get an SSLHandshakeException and I can’t connect to my backend server.

Since I’m in phase of development the URL I pass to fetch data from my server is not secure and does not have an SSL certificate. Is there a way to bypass the process of handshake and retrieve data from my backend?

I want to specify that instead of capacitor-community http plugin I have also tried to use angular httpClient to make requests, but it didn’t work.

Are you sure you are connecting to your backend server with http and not https?
