The Ionic cloud team announced the sunset of their push and auth services and provided AWS Pinpoint as an alternative for push notifications. I’ve followed the instructions on their blog post () and successfully got the notifications to work… but only when the app is in the foreground. If the app is in the background or closed, the notification is not received. Not even in the system tray.
Has anyone succeeded in integrating an Ionic app with AWS Pinpoint and managed to receive notifications with the app in the background or closed? How?
