Is the differentiation in dependencies and devDependencies useful for Ionic at all? I mean, we always install locally and then build while this is all there, there is no real “production” deploy of the Ionic project itself, right?
Good question. I guess technically you don’t need the differentiation, but it might still be useful.
If you aren’t publishing to npm, it technically doesn’t matter which flag you use. However, I find it a good practice to use the “–save” flag for modules that affect the source code that you write. Then use the “–sav-dev” flag for modules that are required for your compiler to function.
