Hi friends…

```
         I am going to update my CLI from 1.7.16 to 2.0.0(beta).
         In future I want to use Ionic 1 services and codes. Also I am using push notification.
         All I want to know is, what will be the change I need to do. Moving of ionic 2 should not affect my code.
         Push notification steps something different from ionic 1.
```

can anybody suggest me your thoughts…

Pity you did not get a response. I am in the same situation as you. I currently have 1.7.16 installed and am getting the suggestion to upgrade to 2 using “npm install -g ionic”. Seems simple enough and surely would not cause any issues especially if you are close to production and leery about regression. I ran the install and it failed—kind of wrecked my confidence right there. I spent 3 hours in Time Machine trying to recover my node\_modules, lib, and bin folders. Now I am faced with should I really move to Ionic 2 or am I best to stay at 1 and if I stay there how long before it is not supported.
