Launch map software on windows

I have the following:

openMapsApp(address) {
    if (this.platform.is('android') || this.platform.is("windows")) {
        let url = "geo:0,0?q=" + address;
        console.log("launching " + url);
        window.open(url, "_system");
    }
    else {
        let url = "maps:?daddr=" + address;
        console.log("launching " + url);
        window.open(url, "_system");

    }
}

This works for ios and android however it does not work on windows (uwp) both on a machine running latest version of windows 10, as well as a lumia 950 running latest windows 10 mobile.

What is the command to launch windows?

Doesn’t it launch a new Window or doesn’t it launch Mapping software?
Is there mapping software in Windows by default?

I manage to get it to launch from ionic serve --lab however if the app actually deployed on windows 10 (compiling the visual studio solution and targetting the local machine) i get a blank screen, same exact thing happens when the app is deployed to device.

Here is the code used to achieve the working part at least on ionic serve --lab

   openMapAppUsingCoordinates(lat: number, lng: number, name:string) {
    if (this.platform.is("windows")) {
        let url = `ms-drive-to:?destination.latitude=${lat}&destination.longitude=${lng}&&destination.name=${name}`;

        console.log("launching " + url);
        window.open(url, "_system");
    }
}

ms-drive-to only take coordinates so I had to provide it coordinates for that part to work.

To answer your question i have mapping software on windows 10 and it is set to default (and it works because the above works if launched from any browser, hence why serve --lab seems to work) but not working when launched from native app
