Is there a handler for the "request local storage space" dialog in browser?

hello,

i am publishing an ionic 2 project also as a pwa and on first launch i get a dialog which asks the user for permission to store data.
is there a handler to evaluate the users choice?
also do i have influence on the amount of space requested ?
