For instagram-like filters I have created a stencil lib for that purpose [Stencil] Instagram filters
Works fine on iPhone >= 6, on Android still in progress
Also for filters you could use CSS (google “instagram css”). Gonna works fine but it doesn’t change the images themselves, it applies on layer on the top of it.
But, I have to add, if you are at the very begin of your project and if that one is your very first, I would suggest to let the filters on the side for a first version. First master all your other subjects regarding photos before adding the cherry on the cake…but again, only my point of view
