For some reason on my app, when the app starts the app freezes, i have to force close then reopen and then it crashes… Then on like the third try it works. What could be the issue ?

you have provided really less informations. So imho you must make a deeper research on your own to get more informations.
Is the app crashing only on device or crash it on ionic serve too?
Have you logged any further informations, errors, steps that has completed successfully, whatever…?
Are very vague guess: You have on startup a timing problem, maybe race condition, maybe something is not ready, maybe…
