I think that speaking about Ionic 3 is a mistake. You have Ionic framework v1 which is based on AngularJS, and you have framework v2, which is based on the latest releases from Angular. Yes it’s production ready, hence the framework isn’t in beta or RC anymore.

I read somewhere about the --v2 flag, but a quick google search shows the flag has been removed from the cli. Thanks for clearing this up.
