<ion-textarea> is deprecated in 2.2.0?

Ion-textarea cannot bind rows attribute like [rows]="rows"

I can use ion-textarea and specify the number of rows using rows attribute like rows=“4”. But cannot bind a variable to the rows attribute (build error will come up). Is that any solution for that?
