<ion-textarea> is deprecated in 2.2.0?

When I check the newest document (2.2.0), I cannot find ion-textarea element. Is it deprecated?

But I still can use it in project. I had updated to 2.2.0.

Ion-textarea cannot bind rows attribute like [rows]="rows"

I can use ion-textarea and specify the number of rows using rows attribute like rows=“4”. But cannot bind a variable to the rows attribute (build error will come up). Is that any solution for that?
