Images from assets disappearing on Ionic View/IOS

#1

Hello everybody,

I am encountering a strange issue while testing my app in ionic view on IOS. I have an ionic pro account & ionic view 'blue version’
I have static images stored in the assets folder (also in www/assets). Image are displayed like this

<img src="assets/icon/arrow_left_big.png">

On first load app works fine and all images are displayed. But if I put the device on ‘stand-by’ (hitting power button) and reactivate it, then the images don’t load anymore.

This happens for all static images, inside pages (header, content, lists) and app menu. Happens also for css ‘background-image’

The display of external images (http://…) works fine

Happens on iphone 7 (ios 11.0.3) and ipad 2 (ios 10.3.3)
Everything works well under android

Any idea?

Thanks for your help

PS : Anyway, great product!

Same issue on iPhone 5. Static images (png) disappear after Stand-by mode.
Also, SVG images don’t load at all on iPhone. On Android device it’s all good.

#4

FYI, when the app is deployed through Mac/XCode, everything works fine

Same issue here. Ionic View displays images correctly on Android but they don’t show up on iOS. Using Makes it difficult to use View for testing. Anyone know a fix for this?

#6

+1 Same issue on iPhone X. Static images (png) and icons disappear after Stand-by mode. On Android device it’s all good.

We have not been able to reproduce it in the emulator, a client is the one who gives us the feedback
