How to clean a dirty dev environment (windows)

Between ionic 2 alphas, beta RC0 and RC1 I ran into various issues not just with Ionic CLI and frameowrk but also with node and npm versions etc. I’ve been testing things out all along the way and don’t really feel confident that I have all the “right” versions of everything going right now. I’m sure RC2 will be out soon with additional changes to the build process and tools etc… I’m just wondering if anyone has a good checklist for “starting fresh” or at least getting everything up to date and confirming it is so.

I’m new to a lot of this, so I apologize if this seems remedial. Here’s what I got right now (Windows 10):

ionic info

Your system information:

Cordova CLI: 6.3.1
Gulp version: CLI version 3.9.1
Gulp local: Local version 3.9.1
Ionic Framework Version: 2.0.0-rc.1-201610191717
Ionic CLI Version: 2.1.1
Ionic App Lib Version: 2.1.1
Ionic App Scripts Version: 0.0.34
Node Version: v4.6.0

Maybe the right thing to do is use VMs (Virtualbox,Vagrant etc) and start fresh for each project, but I just haven’t gotten that organized.
