How to add new formats to DateTime component?

Hello,
I need DateTime component look and feel to select a number which is 4-8 character long (not for date).
For above requirement, I need to introduce a new format to DateTime component that allows selecting the number.

How to add new formats to DateTime component?

You can add formats to datePicker components, please check out the display-Format and picker-Format in the Doc.
