Facebook login without Native Plugin and ionic.io

I am creating a web app only, no windows, no android, no ios platforms.
What is the canonical way of creating Facebook auth in this situation?

I know about ionic.io/services/auth from this post:
Facebook, google, twitter, ...social login via plugins or via ionic.io Auth service

I want to use a standard way - not dependent on any 3rd party service, be it ionic.io or Firebase.

Note this on the Auth page:

Ionic Auth has been deprecated. As of January 31, 2018, we will no longer provide the Ionic Auth user authentication service.

For your general question: I have no experience. Doesn’t Facebook offer a simple Javascript SDK you can use in a website?
