CSS transitions choppy right after click event

#1

Hi there,

I have a simple css transition on transform: translate3d(), that pops over a notification right after tapping a certain element (by setting a class on the animated element). I’ve noticed that the first 50 to 100 ms of the transition is choppy.

It happens when I use on-tap, on-click or even just a JavaScript click event. However, if I call the same method that sets the class directly from the console (in Chrome), the animation is very smooth. It seems like it has something to do with the event processing.

Can anyone help me make sense of this?

Thanks!
