Creating a Sliding Introduction Component in Ionic 2 issue

Hi,

I’m following this tutorial from Josh Morony

However, I’m having an issue from section 6. Import into the Root Component

with this.platform and this.local

Any ideas how I can fix this? it seems the tutorial hasn’t been updated since January.

Typing has become more restrictive since the earlier versions of Ionic 2. That is my guess on the issue. I would suggest contacting Josh directly to update his tutorial. He usually does keep stuff updated, but this might have slipped through the cracks.
