Convert theme Ionic1 to current ionic version

Hi, my client gave me a theme for a new app but the theme is for ionic v1.

Do you have the steps or the best way for convert the theme v1 to current ionic version?

Take the theme, build an Ionic v1 app with it, throw away all the code, rebuild everything for Ionic manually.
