basically Rest API gets your data from DB and print it as json… Allowing Mobile App to get it using HTTP REQUEST to get/delete/edit it no matter you want…

i want to connect Mysql server to my mobile application but i m not writing any API in python or Php. There any possibility to connect mysql server with mobile app directly ?
Even if there were, it sounds like a security hole the size of Jupiter. You really want a REST middleware.

now we are not bothering about security the main requirement is i have to send data to MySQL server directly without any api in the middle so it possible ?

i was hoping not in a specific way but the idea of how it was done and the concept of saving the ionic in php server because there is not so much information on how it could be done in a right way. thanks
