# Complete beginners roadmap?

Greetings!  
I’m completely new to both ionic and angular but I do have a very basic grasp of javascript.  
So I figure the learning roadmap to ionic looks something like javascript =\> angular =\> ionic  
I would just like to ask a question: How much do I need to know about the first two steps and what would be a realistic timeframe before I can start making simple hybrid mobile apps for iOS/android?

You will want to get a good handle on TypeScript and Angular. You don’t need to be a master, but have the foundations. There are a lot good resources for this; [egghead.io](http://egghead.io), Frontend Masters, LinkedIn Learning, just name a few.

Once you are ready to learn Ionic, there are several books/tutorials that are available. I have my book Mobile App Development with Ionic ([https://ionic-book.com/](https://ionic-book.com/)), Josh Morony also has a great book as well. There are several video tutorial sites as well that you can leverage. I publish on [egghead.io](http://egghead.io), but Josh has his own, and there is also Ionic Academy.
