Checkbox checked line-through + label

Hi all,
With css and an input field I can use :checked in css and when select a checkbox then use line-through for the label. Only when use this in css in an ionic 3 app it doesn’t seem to work.

Is there a way to do something like Grey out or Line-through when a checkbox is checked?
