@lolaswift furthermore to the issue in GitHub, which Ionic template did you use for your test? blank, menu or tabs?

sometimes I noticed that problem with the hamburger icon of the menu template, maybe it’s the same? If so, I think they often suggest to use the tabs template to try out…just a thought if that could help

Hi reedrichards, my app has both sidemenu and tabs. Currently, I am using this work around:
.icon-inner{
display: none;
}
any side effect you can think of?

no idea if that’s risky or not, may be a workaround sure but hope I some points this gonna be properly solve (maybe in Ionic v4?)
