Can ionic project starter kit generate code for Angular 2.0

We create project using the command line prompt, however can it generate code for Angular 2.0? or it already does?

Angular 2.0 isn’t finalized and technically doesn’t exist in a final form.

It would impossible to do this since the syntax isn’t out.
