Ionic seems perfect for me - a Web developer looking to build my first app. I’m just wondering if it’s possible to build the app and make it work on the Web? I’m going to do a pinterest clone as a way to learn how to use the platform and it would be great if the photos could be easily browseable on the Web too.
Yes, you can use Ionic for web development.
But I don’t know if you’re going to like look and feel of your web application.
Just curious - is that because it will look and act like a mobile app?
It will look like a mobile app
Funnily enough, that’s the look I’m wanting to go for! Do you have any recommended tutorials for publishing on the web you could share with me? Would be very much appreciated
If you’re working on an Ionic 1 app just copy the content of www folder to a web server of your choice. It’s as simple as that.
Also, don’t forget to use: http://blog.ionic.io/splitview-has-landed/
Brilliant! Thank you very much for such rapid and helpful responses - can’t wait to get started
But you should set overflow-scrolling for nonMobile devices
With js-Scrolling the users have to scroll like on a mobile device (click and hold with the mouse), which is really uncomfortable.
