Ionic lists a barcode scanner plugin.
When I go to the underlying page on github, it says here that this plugin is archived.
Why???
This is a very important and popular plugin with many contributors. There is also no explanation at all why this has been archived.

I wanted to make a suggestion for improvement on github. Because the repo is archived, this is no longer possible.
If a plugin is no longer maintained, there is also a risk that it will not work properly in the future. Hence, I wonder why such a popular plugin is archived without any explanation.
Are there plans for anyone to pickup this repo? It makes no sense to be archived with this many users relying on it.
