Background recursice task

I need some help to achieve some that I need to do in my app. I need to implement a service that runs in the background, for instance: every five minutes.
I’m not sure if the setTimeOut() function let me do this.

Any other recommendations?

Hi @robinyo, Thanks for the info!

My app uses the GPS background plugin to record the position of the user, then I need to implement a method that checks, every 5 minutes for instance, what record hasn’t been sent and send it to the Web Service.
